Edge Theater Company was established in 2001 by Carolyn Cantor and David Korins to produce innovative, challenging work, of exceptional quality and imagination with a particular emphasis on new plays. We aim to create a provocative dialogue between theatre artists and the community by producing and promoting plays that explore the boundaries of theatrical style and illuminate the human experience.

Edge is committed to seeking out new audiences for the theater and to opening our doors to young audiences at reduced ticket prices. We believe that the communal experience of live performance is essential and that the theater should be affordable to anyone who wants to attend. At the same time, the theater must find a way to pay its artists livable wages and increasing salaries for artists is among our highest priorities.

We aim to be a place that supports artists rather than projects, where risk is encouraged and the possibility of failure is embraced rather than feared as it is only under these circumstances that truly great work can emerge.
